Great news! We’ve just released a paid version of Dare on the App Store called Dare the Monkey: Deluxe.A paid version of Dare is something I’ve been wanting to do for a while now. So what’s the difference between it and the free version?I wanted Dare Deluxe to be the purest version of the game. One that doesn’t contain ads or even in-app purchases. You pay a one-off price and you get the whole game. This includes the original six characters from the freemium version plus an additional two new tribe members! On top of that, all the game modes are unlocked from the get go. If that wasn’t enough, you can also restart from the campaign’s checkpoints as many times as you like! That’s right, you don’t need to pay for checkpoint restart bundles, or even use your in-game coins to purchase them either! There’s also a very special surprise for Apple Watch owners. We’ve gone and re-skinned the watch version to now feature the deadly lava caves instead of the jungle world. So if you fancy playing the Apple Watch’s best endless runner then that’s all the more reason to get Dare the Monkey: Deluxe.I’m really really happy with this new version of Dare the Monkey and I hope you guys love playing it. So what are you waiting for! Dare the Monkey: Deluxe is available on the App Store for iPhone, iPad, and Apple Watch.Oh, and there’s a time-limited discount available for those who get it early enough.Enjoy!

I’ve been quiet on my blog over the last few months but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been working hard on Dare. In fact, that’s why I’ve not had time to blog. The good news is that I’ll be releasing a paid version of Dare the Monkey in a few weeks time, and the even better news is that it’ll come with a brand new version of the game for Apple Watch. Here’s a quick video showing off some of the gameplay. As you can see, I’ve gone for the lava caves theme from the main game. The caves are full of dangerous magna flows, lava bursts, swinging spikes, and crumbling rock stacks. You can see some of these in the video. The others you can discover for yourself once you’ve downloaded it from the App Store 😉I had to recruit my good bro to perform the programming duties for this one (it’s coded natively in Swift). Considering the technical constraints of the Apple Watch, I think we’ve done a pretty damn good job of squeezing everything onto a wearable device. We’re also hoping to add a few more elements to it shortly after release, including collectible gems and a few addition graphical flourishes.‘Dare the Monkey: Deluxe’ is available for pre-order on the App Store. In fact, you can get it at a very reasonable discount price during the pre-order period. It’s set for release on Thursday the 8th of November.

I’ve made some great progress over the last few months and I’m now putting the finishing touches to the iOS version of Dare the Monkey. However before I go ahead and release Dare I’ve been spending some time investigating additional platforms that will help enhance the experience for those who love all things Apple. In my previous post I showed the game running on Apple Watch and now I’d like to share with you guys some gameplay footage of Dare running on Apple TV! Doesn’t it look great! One of the things I wasn’t prepared for was just how much detail you can see on a TV that’s easy to miss on phones and tablets. Although it’s hard to get a sense for it in the above video, there’s an immense amount of detail that I’d painstakingly added to the game’s 3D models that really pops out at you on a large screen display. In fact, I’d actually forgotten just how much effort I’d spent on some of the game’s textures originally. After seeing the end result running on an Apple TV I’m glad I did. It’s still a work-in-progress but I’m hoping to tidy things up over the coming weeks. The majority of my time will focus on the game’s user interface, which will need a complete overhaul for Apple TV. Remember, Apple TV doesn’t have any touchscreen support so I’ll need to simplify things to let the user easily navigate the game’s menus with the TV remote.Oh and one other

Lossless. Both sonic and arcsoft will decode bit-perfect, keeping in mind sonic's limitation with regard to 7.1.I assure you I have no intention to fight with you over this, I'd rather find out why you find such a discrepancy between the two, so I can improve my own setup, if need be. If you don't realize that (most of the times) AC3 won't deliver the very deep strong "boom-boom" bass and the very high "sssss-ing" that DTS delivers we have nothing to discuss about. Have you tried the 640 ac3 that comes with the Dark Knight bluray? Or for that matter, any 448/384 ac3 that came with a blockbuster action movie DVD before Blurays ever existed?I never accused you of being an idiot nor do I claim of being a "dolby guy". I keep trying to be friendly. As far as Sound Forge goes. If I were to sit in an office, make an ac3 track with SF, author it to DVD/BD, and then send it to you for testing, I have a feeling your opinion would be rather different.I think El Heggunte already responded to your query. Most DTS encoders are commercial. DCAEnc is the only freeware encoder that's around. DTS-HD MA Suite will go down to a minimum of 255 kbps for stereo and 192 for mono. But you'll have to encode it as *.dtshd and then extract the core with eac3to. Banned Originally Posted by Island_Dweller I never accused you of being an idiot nor do I claim of being a "dolby guy". Help - Team Dare - Dare the Monkey

Getting any kind of publicity for your game these days is hard. There are so many great indie games out there and sometimes it feels almost impossible to be heard above the noise. When we released our previous game, Dare the Monkey, we really struggled to get any exposure. Luckily by happy accident one thing did help gain some traction and even several years on still leads to frequent download spikes. What was it you may ask? Simple. I created an Apple Watch version of our game.It might be a niche platform for it, but Apple Watch owners are always on the look out for good games to pass a few minutes here and there. In fact, they’re so starved of games that any new ones that come along seems to get people quite excited. And thankfully there are a number of Apple Watch lovers on YouTube who like to show off any interesting Apple Watch games on YouTube. The reaction to the Apple Watch version of Dare the Monkey was so positive that we’ve decided to do it again for our latest game, Dungeons of Doom. But it’s not just a case of porting the iPhone version of the game directly to Apple Watch. There’s actually quite a few things to consider. So here’s some of the things I had to consider when bringing Dungeons of Doom to Apple Watch. The first thing, from a programming perspective, is the technical challenge. After all, an Apple Watch doesn’t have the same grunt as an iPhone. I was also eager to get things running on all generations of the Apple Watch. Yup, call me crazy, but I wanted those with a series 1 watch to be able to play it too. That instantly makes things tricky. Suddenly you’re having to find all sorts of optimisation tricks to get things running on a CPU and GPU that’s very limited, not only compared to an iPhone but also compared to more recent generations of the watch itself. Memory is also extremely limited on Apple Watches compared to an iPhone, as too is storage space. It’s not just technical challenges that you have to overcome though. Take the screen size of an Apple Watch compared to an iPhone. It’s tiny! Your finger suddenly looks massive when touching it. Touching the screen on an iPhone game isn’t a problem, but try touching the screen on your Apple Watch and you’ll more often than not be obscuring most of the screen content. This can be tricky when making a game where typically touching the screen makes your hero jump. So what’s the solution? If you can, try and take advantage of the Digital Crown.Another thing to consider is the. Dare The Monkey's post. Dare The Monkey. 󰞋󱟠 󰟝

Wish it had cash matches though I soooo want to give this 5 stars!! I truly love this game. It’s so fun I play for hours and hours sometimes. Minimal glitches, I think I’ve only had it shut down on me less than a handful of times which is pretty great for a relatively new skillz game, and also pretty great with the amount of time I play it. It’s fun and easy to learn but difficult enough to keep you trying for better scores. My one main issue is I wish there were more levels. As of now I’ve only played 4 levels. I wish there was a bigger selection of levels and maybe an option to pair a specific character to a specific level, but the randomness adds to the challenge so I’m good either way. Just add more levels please! I feel that although I love the game and enjoy playing and trying to master it, it’s getting kind of repetitive too. It has great potential for more though! Not worth it It’s dumb don’t

Charges. He could have called legions of angels to deliver him -- the armies of heaven were at his beck and call -- but he did not. Soldiers spit in his face and mocked him with a cruel crown of thorns and a purple robe they said made him look like a king. They scourged him nearly to death. Pilate washed his hands and ordered his crucifixion. And as they crucified him, he said, "Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do" (Luke 23:34).If we are to know and understand God, we must love. We must know and understand forgiveness. If we reject this part of God, we reject the kernel of who he is (1 John 4:16-21). So when Jesus puts it so bluntly in our passage (6:14-15) -- you must forgive to be forgiven -- we dare not reject this truth. Isn't this a sort of "works righteousness"? some ask. If you are required to do something before you can be forgiven, then isn't this righteousness by works? No. There's an old story of how to catch a monkey. You chain a cage to a post, and put an orange in the cage. Then when the monkey tries to grasp the orange, and can't pull it through the bars he is trapped. Can't he just release the orange and escape? Yes, but monkeys don't let go of the things that enslave them. They hold on tightly -- just like people. And so he is captured, just as surely as if he were in the cage itself. To be free you must let go of unforgiveness. Is that meritorious so as to earn heaven? No, not any more than repentance from sin is meritorious. We don't earn heaven by repentance or by forgiving. But we must let go of our bondage to sin and hate if we want to receive something better. The Struggle to ForgiveForgiveness is sometimes terribly difficult. It's usually not so hard to forgive people we don't know. The people with whom we have a relationship of trust who turn on us, who betray our trust -- those people are the hardest to forgive. Husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, children, and boyfriends and girlfriends and our best friends. They can turn on us and wound us deeply. Sometimes we even doubt that "It is better to have loved and lost, than never to have loved at all.". Dare The Monkey's post. Dare The Monkey. 󰞋󱟠 󰟝
