The event confirmed that Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson is in fact part of Fortnite’s world, and has been from the very beginning. Additionally, Fortnite Battle Royale as we know it has changed forever.Today, ESTNN recaps all the events that unfolded during “The End” as we look ahead to the next Fortnite Chapter 3. During the wait time, players were given weapons to eliminate Cube Monsters as they breached the Cube’s outer shell. The timer soon ticked down to zero and the Cube Queen unleashed chaos.The Cube Queen AwakensThe Cube Queen woke up from her slumber above The Pyramid, shouting, “The Last Reality is at hand.” She drew power from the Cubes beneath The Pyramid and seemingly opened up a portal to another world overhead. UFOs began flying into the atmosphere before the Cube Queen opened the portal further, unveiling massive flying saucers in the sky. Eventually, the Blue Cube’s protective layers shattered, allowing enemy forces to march forward.Caretakers began flooding the immediate area, and players had to fight back with an Epic Assault Rifle and Magnum until the flying saucers confiscated them. “There’s no escaping The Last Reality,” spoke The Cube Queen as players retreated to the Blue Cube until a powerful beam shattered it completely.The Underground IO Base with Slone

After months of speculation and a sly Instagram tease, Dwayne Johnson is revealed as the voice of The Foundation in the dramatic conclusion to Fortnite chapter two. A couple of days ago the wrestler/actor posted what looked like an ad for his Zoa energy drink on his Insta, but inside the refrigerator housing the beverages was a replica of The Foundation’s helmet. The Foundation played an important role in today’s one-time-only “The End” event in Fortnite. As the Cube Queen, who’s been besieging the island for a large portion of season eight, prepares a final attack on the forces of good, The Foundation arrives at a familiar bunker deep beneath the island’s surface, just in time to save Jonesy from termination at the hands of the sinister Dr. Sloan. Jonesy and The Foundation make their way to the bunker’s control room, where the pair prepare to take us “to the other side.”Cut to the surface, where another member of The Seven known as The Scientist, voiced by someone sounding a lot like Joel McHale of Community, leads players to the island’s core. As the entire landmass begins to tilt, players are shot out into the ocean, where they witness the final demise of the Cube Queen. Turns out even a being possessing ultimate power can’t survive having an entire island dropped on her head. You can watch the entire event from my perspective in the video below. Keen-eyed watchers will notice former Kotaku managing editor Riley MacLeod in buff cat form accompanying my unicorn on the adventure. There’s some lag and rubber banding towards the end, but the whole story is right here. The End Of Fortnite Chapter TwoAs always with these finales, Fortnite is now down for several days as Epic prepares for the start of chapter three. The island is now upside down, so we’re getting a whole new map. Epic has a website set up that will reveal the new map once enough folks have tweeted with the hashtag #Fortniteflipped. Meep. The photo depicts an ad for Fortnite Flipped in New York City with webs surrounding the letters F and O. It's early to say for sure, but it seems Spider-Man is the next significant Fortnite x Marvel crossover.It's not clear when Epic Games will release Chapter 3, but some rumors point toward 10 AM EST on December 5. The leaks and information will surely continue during downtime in some capacity.
